Hello world!

In the spirit of a brand new year, I have taken the leap and decided to start blogging again. 2019, after all, is the year of shooting your shot—if one of my closest friends is to be believed, anyway. I don't intend to impose a strict theme on this blog in order not to stifle myself, but you can expect book reviews, writerly rants and rambles, snippets of things I'm currently working on, and whatever else strikes my fancy enough to warrant a blog post.

I've been diligently following through on the Goodreads Reading Challenge I set up for myself this year, and seeing as it's only March and I'm already 75% of the way through at 9 books out of 12, I think it's safe to say I'll be going over my initial number. But no pressure to myself, of course; nothing diminishes my interest faster than deadlines and turning it into a chore.

I look forward to what writing on this blog has in-store for both me as its author, and you, as its reader. May we learn new things from each other and become better people because of it.
