Life update

Well, I was certainly gone for a while, wasn't I? In the months that followed my last post, I dropped out of college, turned 21, wrote an essay about my college experience, got published by a local newspaper (you can read my article here), and rediscovered my love for baking, a pastime I took up when I was about seven years old. I also posted a Youtube video which I forgot to upload in HQ, so in other words: a lot has been going on in my life since we last spoke.

I'm about a week deep into NaNoWriMo (let's be buddies!), and writing at least 1.5k words a day has really given me the kick I need to start working on all the other things I've been wanting to for a while. I try to get in a couple minutes of dance exercise each day to get my body used to moving again, and I'm easing myself into a more healthy approach to eating. Do I have my life together? I want to say yes, but just asking the question gave me existential dread and adulting-related anxiety, so maybe not quite.

I also started a new Instagram! There I post bite-sized reviews of books (because I couldn't keep up with my monthly roundups) and other book and/or writing related stuff. I considered posting them on my main Instagram account, but to be honest with you, that account gives me anxiety now. There's so much memories attached to it, but I don't quite feel like the same person I was when I first started posting on it so I'm in this really weird emotional bind about it. It triggers an identity crisis in me, and plus, the Virgo in me finds it too messy, so I'm considering laying it to rest.

I'm hoping to start producing more content for this blog. I've been playing around with all my options because I think I'm in the process of metamorphosis right now so I'm a little all over the place. I'm pretty much just trying out things to see what sticks.

I'll see you guys again some time soon.

Love and light,
Nina
